Peggy Fink, CASA Volunteer, will share information from Dr. Camille Robinson, a presenter at the 2018 CJJ DMC Conference. The information will include types of trauma, a trauma-informed approach and trauma-informed strategies specific to Foster Children. Come learn about FRAYED symptoms and the difference between children and adolescent behaviors related to trauma.
“Thus, a trauma-informed approach and early intervention are critical in reducing the number of youth of color in the child welfare system that cross over to the juvenile justice system.” *
